Beach Holidays For Fun In The Sun

Everyone loves beach holidays!

Your kids can make sandcastles and splash in the water. The older ones can swim, suntan, or just take it easy in the sunshine. The inquisitive types can explore for sea shells and drift wood. However, any trip can cause discomfort if you do not plan well.

Here are things you can do to make your beach holidays easier:

In many parts of the world, people head for their beach holidays in the family vehicle. It may be the family truck, a spacious van or a reliable car, but in each instance, give your vehicle a good cleaning out first!

This will give you more room for your feet and bags. Stock your glovebox with some first aid items such as bandaids, polysporin and sunblock lotion. Don't forget a couple of scrunchies for long hair. Make sure you have a map unless you have a Garmin, which is of course ideal.

Travelling with kids can be a challenge if you're not prepared. They may be very excited and impatient when they know they are going on a beach holiday. Make sure they have their own water bottle and healthy snacks to munch on during the trip so there will be less "Are we there yet?" questions. Try a simple car game to make the time pass such as a guessing game that the whole family can get involved in while driving.

Be careful about being in the sun for long stretches of time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Use a sunblock with a high SPF rating and rub it on again after swimming or drying off with your towel.

With some preparation your beach holidays will be enjoyable and memorable.
