Tanning Services For Minors

Tanning salons seem to be more and more commom for teenagers that want to look and feel their very best.
In many places a person must have permission from their parents if they are under 18.

Most tanning salons find that this is a huge market to appeal to.Teenagers are also the primary group that will tan all year long. Since winter time is so slow for many tanning salons , having teenagers to come in for their tanning session is a good way to have a steady flow of traffic.

It is a good rule of thumb to make sure you have any minor that can legally tan in your salon gain permission from their parents or guardian. You can keep the process simple by giving them a release to have signed.

For the most part many parents don't seem to mind that their children are tanning. They may even pay for it as a gift for their child. It isn't uncommon for the adult and the child to come in at the same time for appointments either. You may want to offer discounts for family tanning memberships for this reason.

Make sure that everyone in your salon wears proper eye protection and skin protection as well. You might even get a sale by offering them samples of different skin products.
Make sure they know how to use everything as well by teaching them briefly before they enter the suntanning booth. Should you find any person in general abusing the equipment then you need to ask them to leave and possibly pay for the damage.
Although these instances are usually rare, it's good to know in advance what to do in any cases.
